Dr. Aram Chung is currently pursuing his post-doctoral career at the Di Carlo Microfluidic Biotechnology Lab in the Department of Bioengineering at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) studying inertial microfluidics. Aram completed his Ph.D. in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Cornell University under the guidance of Prof. David Erickson on May 2011. His work revolved around the use microfluidics and focuses on creating microfluidically enabled biological and optical systems. Prior to Cornell, he received his Bachelor’s degree with honors in 2006 from Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Seoul National University. Aram has authored or co-authored 10 refereed articles in high quality journals, 13 conference proceedings, several technical publications and two patents. He won numerous awards including Silver Prize for Samsung Human-Tech Thesis Prize, the Grand and 1st Prizes for the poster at the 3rd and 4th Micro & Nano Technology Society-Wide Forum, respectively at ASME-IMECE, and the Best Poster Award at CNF 30th Anniversary Symposium.
